About me
Jon is an experienced health economist and modelling expert who has advised the health sector and other clients in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Jon specialises in the application of economic and statistical modelling techniques to improve decision-making and drive operational improvements.
Jon’s work helps NHS organisations to reach evidence-based decisions and strategies, based on robust, innovative and impactful analysis of their data.
As well as technical skills, Jon has experience in leading and managing the delivery of complex projects. As part of this, Jon has worked extensively with individuals from across the health sector, including clinicians, Trust leadership, regulators and policy-makers.
Jon has supported a number of NHS Trusts with decisions on investment in new capital, services or infrastructure. Examples include advising St. George’s and Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospitals on the size of new A&E departments and Moorfields on the level of demand and activity in a new hospital site.
Jon has also worked on a number of national policy programmes, leading the development of analysis and insight to inform sector-wide strategy. These include a strategy review of dental activity during the Covid-19 pandemic, an analysis of the investment required in weight management services and the development of outcome-focused metrics to support access to Occupational Health.
