Assessing strategic options for the future of a hospital’s estate

Edge Health were asked to help develop strategic options for the future of an NHS Foundation Trust’s estate given changes being proposed in the health economy. This was driven in part by proposals in the local STP that identified a need to consolidate services in the local area.

Our work helped the NHS Foundation Trust to assess the economics of the different options. This was done by looking at the potential changes that would take place if different services were consolidated on to one site, or kept on two. This work has fed into the local STP and the area is considering how to take it forward.
