About Me
George has experience in data analysis, visualisation, and building models and dashboards to automate workflows, with experience in data engineering including SQL and Azure.
George has been leading the engineering side of several projects. This included processing and preparing data as well as building pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL. In addition to this, he has led data engineers in building and maintaining a data platform for internal use, consisting of Azure Data Factory, a Data Lake and a Databricks environment for use by analysts. This included building pipelines to ingest data into Databricks for use in analytics and reporting.
George has recently been leading a team to develop nationwide elective surgery backlog and theatre efficiency modelling. This work focussed on identifying theatre and bed requirements for surgery and the impact of NHSE (GIRFT) standards for HVLC procedures as well as Paediatric waiting lists for all Trusts in the country. Models have fed into several outputs, including packs for every trust, interactive dashboards and configurable Excel models.
